For Euro 2016 an App has been created that will report unexpected events and security procedures. It's called SAIP, an acronym for "System for Alerting and Information for Population", it can be downloaded on Android and Iphone platforms and issues notices as soon as an "accident" is confirmed by the competent authorities.

After the terrorist attacks that shook Paris last November, France has raised the alert to the highest level for the football event that will last foresees 51 match at 10 different venues, all considered potential terrorist targets.

More than 90.000 units, including 42.000 police officers, 30.000 gendarmes and 10.000 soldiers will be deployed to ensure the safety of the event.

The "warning and information system for the population" will issue warnings in French and English within 15 minutes of the "unexpected events" and can be set on 8 different geographical areas, so that the user can monitor his family and friends.
