"A Russian Mi-8 helicopter was attacked during a search and rescue mission in Syria, a marine infantry soldier was killed." This is what they communicate from the Russian General Staff.

"In the rescue operation two Russian helicopters were involved in the search for the crew of the Su-24 shot down this morning shortly after the 9,20 by a Turkish F-16. Due to enemy fire, one of the helicopters was severely damaged. The crew was forced to make a makeshift landing in neutral territory. One of our soldiers is dead. The research team was evacuated from the second helicopter and transferred to the Hmeymim base. The downed helicopter was destroyed by enemy artillery fire. The rescue mission continues ”.

As we write to you, the Russian General Staff would have given rise to a massive deployment of Specnaz forces at the Hmeymim base.

A second rescue mission with Ka-52 heavy helicopters (photo) is already underway to protect and support assault departments. Pilots should be alive, but in a territory controlled by radical rebel groups. The Russians will not make the same mistake twice.
