The battle group of the Admiral Kuznetsov entered the war.
After a long conversation held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and newly elected US President Donald Trump, the Kremlin has sent the order of attack and the first 3M-54 Kalibr cruise missiles hit the set targets followed by the raids of the embarked bombers.
The first unit to go into action was the missile frigate Admiral Grigorovich, followed by Kuznestov who from his deck launched - for the first time in the history of the Russian armed forces - his fighter-bombers in battle.
The Su-33 and MiG-29KR / KUB embarked on the aircraft carrier hit ammunition dumps, training camps and weapons factories located in Idlib province and in the province of Homs.
The Kuznetsov battle group is composed of the heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser Pyotr Veliky, flagship of the Northern Fleet, by the Udaloy I class destroyers, Severomorsk and Vice-Admiral Kulakov; from Serpukhov and Zelyony Dol, units of the Buyan-M class and an unknown number of submarines.
