Nine submarines of the Northern Fleet are on patrol in rotation. This is what they communicate from the Russian admiralty.

The Russians, in deterrent patrol covering possible targets, have the class submarine at sea Borey, Yury Dolgoruky and two Delta IV, Karelia and Novomoskovsk. The class attack submarine is also sailing Akula, Panther, and the class missile launcher Oscar II, Smolensk.

Patrolling the class submarine Victor III, Obninsk, and the class Saw IINizhny Novgorod.

Finally, the Northern Fleet announces that even the class submarines Kilo, Kaluga e Vladikavkaz, I am on active duty. The Russian submarines, in the 2015, were at sea the 50% of the time more than the 2014.

Considering the current units in service with the five fleets plus the Mediterranean in rotation and the resumption of strategic patrols along the southern latitudes, the Kremlin could have at sea from the 10 to the 25 submarines.

The Russian Navy, to date, has 56 submarines in active service. In the 1990 the Soviet Union Navy owned a fleet of 240 submarines.
