Russia: in July flight tests for the aircraft carrier Kuznetsov, in September in service in the Mediterranean

The first flight tests will start on July 1st.Admiral Kuznetsov, the only carrier of Russia and currently the only carrier in the world to operate at polar latitudes. This is what the Russian Admiralty communicates. The deployment in the Mediterranean Sea, which should take place by September, is also confirmed.

The boarded aircraft group includes Su-25 UTG, Su-33 (Flanker-D), MiG-29K / KUB and Ka-27 and Ka-29 helicopters. The crews of the flight group of the Kuznetsov they will complete training at the Saki ground training facilities in the Crimea and Yeisk on the shore of the Azov Sea by June.

The aircraft carrier was under repair for ten months at the 82 shipyard in Roslyakovo, in the Murmansk region. THE'Admiral Kuznetsov has undergone work on the electro-mechanical equipment and some components of the ship's transmission have been replaced.
