Dobrynya, the German Shepherd puppy, arrived a few hours ago at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. The puppy donated by the Russians to the French will one day take the place of Diesel, the dog-hero of the French police killed by terrorists during a raid that took place in Saint-Nazaire on 18 November (v.articolo).

They add not without a minimum of emotion from the Russian Interior Ministry. “After all the appropriate vaccinations, we are honored to deliver Dobrynya to our French friends. He is still a puppy, he has not received any training, but he is a police dog born. We are sure of it: one day it will become the substitute for the lamented Diesel. Dobrynya he left his native home to find another. His destiny is to one day be a sentinel of justice. May he long serve in the ranks of the French police ”.

Dobrynya is named after an epic and heroic Russian knight who embodies strength, kindness, military virtues and selflessness.

Russia and France seem never to have been so close. The “Mistral” affair, the sanctions following the Ukraine question and the differences over international politics seem to be only a distant memory.
