For the first time, an E-3F AWACS (Airborne Warning And Control System) received an in-flight refueling. Refueling was carried out by a KC-767A tanker of the 14 ° Stormo of our Air Force. The aircraft, belonging to the 36ème Escadre de l'Armée de l'Air, was engaged in a survey mission in the Middle Eastern operational theater beyond the 17 hours of autonomy.
The supply of an AWACS by one of ours Tanker was successfully completed last October 26 in an airspace training area above the Tyrrhenian Sea as part of the international exercise "Trident Juncture 2015".
