Israel: the "Romah", the rocket to calm the crisis zones, enters service

The Israel Defense Forces will soon have a new GPS-guided artillery rocket called "Romah".

Made by Israel Military Industries (IMI), will be launched by the M270 (photo) suitably modified to accommodate the new ammunition.

According to the Israel Military Industries, the Romah has a range of 35 km and is equipped with a 20 kg warhead of explosives. The new ammunition has a circular error probability of less than ten meters.

The Israeli Army intends to entrust the Romah the task of remotely "calming" crisis areas, a task still performed today by combat helicopters.

Il Romah it is believed to be more accurate than the standard ammunition used by artillery.
