In Israel, after uncontrolled anger, it is urgent to find calm again

The IDF spokesman condemned the soldiers who published photos and posts praising the "revenge" against the Arabs for the kidnapping and killing of three young Israelis, announcing severe punishment.

This is what we read on the site of the Jerusalem Post, in a news published a few minutes ago, which became the reference site for the Israeli army a few days ago.

It should be noted that a few minutes after the three young Israelis were found, the official IDF blog was taken offline. A clearly strategic choice that we share. We are talking about a blog entirely managed by the Israeli secret services, up to date and always on the news. A clearly patriotic blog (in full US style), in some ways even more extreme (but that's what you need in a country that is always on the verge of a war) and very rich in insights.

The strong and triumphalistic tones used in the articles would have been able, in this very delicate moment, to stir up even more the spirits already deeply shaken by the tragedy. The choice of Tel Aviv is very wise.

The showdown will take place (Israel does not forget), but it could only target the material perpetrators of the murder of the two boys. A large-scale war would not benefit any party. It could be a history lesson, but only time can prove us wrong.

While Hamas has always denied any involvement in killing the three students, it has encouraged other similar actions in the speeches of its leaders. Words that have only had internal echoes and that have not so much brought the other countries of the Region closer to the Palestinian cause. Just think of Egypt that in anticipation of possible requests for political asylum by Hamas has announced arrests fearing Israeli retaliation.

Every known incident of our soldiers - continued by the IDF - will be punished with the utmost severity, national feelings of sadness must not be exploited for incitement to hatred. Freedom of expression on social networks must always be appropriate.

Meanwhile, President Mahmoud Abbas has asked Israeli correspondent Benjamin Netanyahu to condemn the kidnapping and cold-blooded murder of a Palestinian teenager by settlers. According to Abbas - reads the website of the Palestinian state agency WAFA - Netanyahu must condemn the kidnapping and killing of the Palestinian boy "as we have condemned the killing of three colonists".

Mohammad Hussein Abu-Khudair, a Palestinian teenager from Shuafat, was kidnapped by settlers and killed in cold blood in recent days.

Israel - added Abbas - must take concrete steps to stop the aggression against the settlers and the state of chaos resulting from possible large-scale operations of Israel.

According to the WAFA, fifteen Palestinians were killed in two days.
