Iran will unveil its new anti-missile shield to the world on September 1st. This was communicated to Farsnews, the commander of the "Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force" also known as Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense, General Farzad Esmayeeli.

The medium and long range missile system would be immune to Western electronic countermeasures and will become operational from the day of its presentation, set for next September 1st.

Missile defense systems will cover two important parts of the country, in the south and south-east.

"Defensive depth is one of the main features of these systems, especially for long-range ones. We have been able to cover all our needs on a national level. The defense of Iranian airspace is a priority enshrined in our military doctrine, but the new shield must be seen from the perspective of peace and friendship ".

Last April, Esmayeeli announced the integration into the missile defense network of the Iranian version of the Russian S-300 system, called Bavar 373.

"The Bavarian 373 long range air defense missile system will enter service by the end of the year and will be deployed in key regions of the country. Finally, the medium and long-range Talash (Endeavor) system will be on line by next December ".
