Iran: We will build a launching submarine (at least on paper ...)

22/02/15

The submarine called “Be'sat”, currently in the planning phase, will be 60 meters long and will be able to operate at an operational depth of 300 meters. Iran has announced to the world its intention to build a 1300-ton submarine with missile capabilities.

Our engineers - say the Iranian Army - are developing a boat with six launchers capable of firing torpedoes and cruise missiles.

The submarine will also have the ability to release mines at the bottom of the sea.

"In recent years, Iran has made great strides in the defense sector, achieving self-sufficiency in the production of military equipment and systems."

The submarine - added the commander of the Iranian army, General Ataollah Salehi - will be built in a very short time and will exponentially increase the power of our military apparatus.

Last December, Salehi praised the capabilities of the Iranian navy, stressing that the country could renew itself in the next decade with new submarines and surface ships.

The experience and the ability acquired by Iran in building military equipment - Salehi added - have not been well received by other nations of the world: we want peace and friendship.

The Iranian aircraft carrier

Should a war break out, Iran will direct its military power against American aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf.

This was stated last May by Admiral Ali Fadavi, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy.

Iran, no longer secret, has built a simple replica of the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier in a shipyard in the southern port of Bandar Abbas.

Fadavi stated that the immense dimensions of the American aircraft carriers make them an easy target.

The destruction of American carriers - added Fadavi - are a priority for the naval forces of the Republican Guard, as aircraft carriers are the symbol of US military power in the world.

Admiral Fadavi then added that in an exercise carried out precisely against some fake "American ships", the Iranian armed forces destroyed the most dangerous ships in less than 50 seconds.

According to the Republican Guard, in order to sink a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, 24 swarm-launched missiles (similar only conceptually to the far more deadly 'Kirov' attack technique with its twenty SS-N-19 Shipwreck armored missiles' from the weight of seven tons per carrier).

The naval forces of the Revolutionary Guard, small boats armed with anti-ship missiles, are independent of the main Iranian Navy. They are deployed along the territorial waters of the Persian Gulf.

Whatever Iran hopes to do with its mock-up - they have readily replied by the US NAVY Fifth Fleet command - is absolutely useless. Because it is one thing to launch missiles against a floating structure anchored to the seabed, while at the same time it is to attack an 100 thousand-ton warship, with maneuvering ability at a speed of thirty knots, fifty fighters on board and a battle group. naval in his defense.

A year ago, US intelligence analysts discovered that Iran built a giant fake carrier, very similar in shape to the US Navy's Nimitz class ships. Satellite images confirmed the construction that took place at the Gachin site near Bandar Abbas in the Persian Gulf. Work would begin in the summer of 2013.

The Iranian replica measures 333 meters, as does the Nimitz. Adopt the same color as the American super doorkeepers. Even fighters, obviously fake, were recreated on the bridge. That built by the Iranians is not a functioning aircraft carrier. It is an immense barge built to resemble an American aircraft carrier.

It is clearly another expensive bluff. It is not excluded, in fact, that the fake aircraft carrier, if the tension between Iran and the United States should reach the stars, could be the goal of a fake missile attack by Iranian forces artfully mounted for internal propaganda purposes. Deception is a technique very often used to strengthen consensus and political leadership typical of totalitarian or militarized governments.
