The purchase of materials necessary for the construction of the 94 fighter for all military forces, involves the Lochkeed Martin factories in Fort Worth, Texas, responsible for the construction of all the long-processing facilities. These are difficult to achieve and take time to build. They are among the components financed in the early phases of the aircraft construction process, so as to keep production on schedule.
The contracts for the construction of the 94 F-35 will be signed at a later date. There will be 78 F-35A, conventional take-off and landing version: 44 for US Air Force, two for Italy, two for Turkey, eight for Australia, six for Norway and 16 for other partners.
The agreement also includes 14 F-35Bs: nine for the US Marine Corps, three for Great Britain and two for Italy. Finally, the contract also includes two F-35Cs for the US Navy and Marines.
The 94 fighter crafted in Fort Worth, Texas, El Segundo in California, Warton in England, Orlando in Florida, Nashua in Baltimore and Cameri in Italy will be delivered by May 2019.
