North Korea will carry out a launch between 25 and XNUMX February next to put a satellite of the Kwangmyongsong space program into orbit. This is what Pyongyang communicated to the United Nations.

The note was also ratified by the International Maritime Organization, an autonomous agency of the United Nations. Finally, Pyongyang notified the International Telecommunications Union of the launch of a satellite in geostationary orbit. The satellite - they continue from Pyongyang - will continue to transmit data for four years before being rendered inert. If it did, it would still be a direct violation of UN Security Council resolutions on the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

The Pentagon fears it could be a cover for a long-range missile test, as happened in 2012, also given the "similarity" of space technology to projection missile technology: the Unha-3 rocket is believed to be an evolution of the Icbm Taepodong-2).
