The submarine component reflects its own way of working: silent, unseen and even less "raised". However, inside there are some extraordinary excellences in terms of men and means that deserve to be deepened and understood.
In all theaters in which naval operations are underway, together with ships of very variable surface in number and composition, there is always and in any case a submarine. A permanent presence that intrigued us.
To shed light on the strategic and tactical weight of a vehicle still little known today - at least in Italy - we interviewed an officer with over thirty years of experience behind him, the commander of the Italian submarine component, Admiral Dario Giacomin.
