Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. is one of the largest Israeli computer companies. Founded in 1993 by Gil Shwed, Shlomo Kramer and Marius Nacht, it has its headquarters in Ramat Gan, a city in the Tel Aviv district. In 2016, it totaled $ 1,74 billion in revenues.
It is useless and impossible to make a list of the company's security products, whoever wants to find them on their site. It may be interesting to take a quick look at an instrument that gives a visual impact of the size of the cyber space and of the attacks that are conducted every day.
Live Cyber Attack Threat Map is a free interactive map offered by Check Point to demonstrate the power and capabilities of the product ThreatCloud IntelliStore Cyber Threat Intelligence.
In fact, Check Point supplies, in addition to products, services threat intelligence, used by an organization to understand how to behave in a specific risk context.
The map offers an overview of the attacks in progress in real time also allows you to select a state with the mouse and see some data including which country from which most of the attacks come (in the image you can see that in Italy most of the attacks in the last month come from Germany), always bearing in mind that the one indicated as the attacker may be unaware of his role (he could simply act as a repeater or be in turn been attacked and no longer have control of its machines).
On the left side of the screen is a list of the most currently attacked states. Also this list is interactive so you can see the state fact sheets and learn more.
Of course this is a free tool that, as already mentioned, has the sole purpose of appreciating the potential of Check Point!
