The logistic commander of the Army, army corps general Alessandro Montuori, participated in the inauguration of the new oncohematology center of the San Giovanni Addolorata hospital in Rome.

At the opening of the modern structure, which will be immediately available to the citizens thanks also to the contribution of military medical personnel of the "Celio" military clinic in Rome, the president of the Lazio Region, Mr Nicola Zingaretti, and the mayor of Roma Capitale, Ignazio, were present Marine.

The start of the activities of the oncohematological pole is the first fruit of the agreement protocol signed last December 10 between the director of the military polyclinic of Rome, Major General Mario Alberto Germani, and the director of the hospital San Giovanni Addolorata, Dr. Ilde Coiro, which took place in the presence of the Minister of Defense, Mrs Roberta Pinotti, and the President of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti.

The protocol is born in the perspective of a mutual collaboration for the promotion, organization and development of activities of common interest in the public health sector through the use of resources, structures and means of their respective endowment and in order to allow such synergies to guarantee excellent quality standards for military and civil users.

General Montuori, in his speech, which preceded that of the political authorities, underlined "the importance of starting this project, expressing the full satisfaction of the Armed Force for having contributed, with its personnel, to the activation of the new oncomatology center The initiative - continued the Army logistic commander - is part of the broader sphere of collaboration between the military policlinic "Celio" and the San Giovanni Addolorata and is a concrete expression of that synergy between military and civil institutional bodies that in the current financial framework it is extremely logical and necessary ".
