The 15th anniversary of the foundation of the Alpine Corps is celebrated on Saturday 150 October. The national event, organized by the Army Alpine Troop Command in synergy with the National Alpine Association, will be held in Piazza Plebiscito, in Naples, where, on October 15, 1872, Vittorio Emanuele II signed the Royal decree establishing the first Alpine companies.

The celebration will be preceded on Friday 14 by the inauguration of the Cittadella degli alpini on Lungomare Caracciolo and by that of the historical exhibition at Palazzo Reale, as well as by the performance of the Alpine fanfares in various squares of the Campania capital, followed by a carousel of the same in Piazza Plebiscito . In the Royal Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, at 18 pm, the military ordinary of Italy, Msgr. Santo Marcianò will celebrate the Holy Mass.

Saturday 15, with the war and institute flags of all departments of the alpine troops and of the XNUMXth ranger battalion Monte CervinoThe Ana Labaro will also be deployed in the square, escorted by the President and the National Council together with the sectional banners and pennants of hundreds of Alpine Groups.

For the occasion, we invite the Sections and Groups to exhibit the Tricolor in their locations, thus signifying the ideal participation of all in the important anniversary, which marks an important stage in our history: the history written by those who, serving the homeland in weapons in the Alpine troops or on leave in the ranks of the ANA, have always been a concrete example of commitment to the community and at the same time a testimony of solid and unchanged values, made of a spirit of service, solidarity, respect for institutions and love for peace.
