In addition to the Italian component, there were soldiers from all the armed forces of the United States, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Turkey, Estonia and the Czech Republic.
The purpose of the activity was to test the interoperability of the transmission systems used by NATO forces and, in particular, the information security level of classified data networks and satellite radios.
The exercise took place inside the barracks that houses the Polish 100th transmissions battalion and saw some 850 soldiers lined up between men and women.
