In the Dutch city of Nijmegen the 19 took place from the 22 to the 100 in Julya edition of the most important military marching circuit on the international scene. Over 70.000 civilian walkers were present.

Camp Heumensoord, set up in the park of the same name, saw military representatives from over 20 nations present. The lion's share, as always, was made by the contingents from northern Europe who boast great traditions in training backpacking. Note the French presence that with over 300 elements coming from the various bodies, aims to be inserted for 2017 among the heaviest contingents.

The competition took place over 172 km covered in 4 days of walking, 3 of which characterized by suffocating heat. A regenerating storm on the last day for the over 6.500 participants.

Representing Italy is a small detachment of the National Paratroopers Association which has received esteem from foreign comrades and the great acceptance of the local population.

The only wrong note: participation in the "Four days march" gives all the armed forces present the right to wear the medal with its ribbon and is a title for admission to military schools and academies; only exception, Italy ...
