The demolition of the warehouses and the infrastructural safety of the former military training area called "polygon Mirone" in the municipality of Castel Maggiore (BO) near the bank of the river Reno along Via Lame were completed.

The works, requested by the Municipality, were carried out after previous surveys had revealed possible risks of collapse on the adjacent Via Lame, threatening the safety of motorists.

The Army, through the employment of the Genio Ferrovieri Regiment of Castel Maggiore, coordinated for the activity by the 6 ° Infrastructure Department, intervened using special means with demolition structures and a nucleus of soldiers trained for this type of intervention.

The demolition works were completed ten days earlier than planned, helping to provide a timely and efficient response to the needs of the local community and allowing the reopening of Via Lame to traffic.

The mayor of Castel Maggiore, Dr. Belinda Gottardi, expressed great satisfaction with the work of the Army engineers, capable of such an important and complex intervention in a very short time.
