The exercise called "Far Eye 2016" ended last Friday, which involved men and women of the Italian Army in the "Gigli" range in the "military city of Cecchignola".
The exercise saw together assets of the Genio command, specialized in the search and removal of improvised explosive devices, and the RISTA-EW brigade, specialized in the field of intelligence, electronic warfare and reconnaissance and surveillance of the areas in which the Italian military operate.
The training carried out was a valid test bench for testing the capabilities achieved in managing improvised explosive ordnance exploration activities, which can be used on road itineraries against moving military convoys. Furthermore, the defense measures of a military operational base located in a hostile environment were tested.
