At the end of the first week of the exercise called "Airmobile Permanent Training II 2017" underway in Rimini (RN), 7 ° 4 Advanced Aeromobility course has been completed at the airport hosting the AVES "VEGA" 2017 Regiment which led to the qualification of 19 operators and 7 Rapid Downfall Leaders (RDR) of the 66 ° Aeromobile regiment "Trieste".

The intense training activity saw the aircraft riders of the 66 ° regiment involved in the acquisition of aircraft descent techniques through fast roping and rappeling in the daytime and night environment as well as in the study of the aircraft provided to the Armed Forces and the procedures used by the AVES personnel to achieve the maximum capacity for cooperation and integration between the various operational components.

In particular, the VFP1 staff, already selected in September at the Infantry School during the recruitment of highly specialized units, was also qualified.

The course was completed in the presence of the commander of the "Friuli" aircraft brigade, General Salvatore Annigliato, who delivered the advanced aircraft qualification certificates and the rapid descent patents.

The APT II 2017 Exercise, aimed at validating the next-generation Task Groups in Operations Theaters and JRRF, is a key event and expression of the integration capacity between the components and the Aircraft Brigade Unit in the planning and conduct of aircraft operations in one highly realistic scenario.
