At the "Bechi Luserna" barracks in Macomer (NU), headquarters of the 5th Engineer Regiment, an operational unit of the Army framed in the "Sassari" brigade, the qualification course of the radiological identification nuclei concluded, the second carried out in 'Current year.

During the training activity, the attendees were able to acquire and perfect the decontamination procedures to be implemented following any chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear (CBRN) attacks conducted in an operational environment, in addition to the notions of defense necessary for the fighter to survive. in the area of ​​operations.

In this context, the personnel trained to operate in the field of radiological field reconnaissance missions, also acquiring the ability to communicate, along the chain of command, the correct data relating to a radiological or nuclear event, through the use of the appropriate messaging in force between NATO allied countries.

This type of specialized training allows soldiers to react and defend themselves against possible CBRN attacks, in order to survive and continue to operate even in contaminated environments.

The activities were conducted in full compliance with the regulations in force to combat the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic.
