Yesterday, in the training area of the Capo Teulada Polygon, in the presence of the commander of the "Acqui" division, the division general Fabio Polli and the commander of the "Sassari" brigade, the brigadier general Andrea Di Stasio, the Tactical group with multi-pitch fire of the 152 ° "Sassari" infantry regiment, which saw the design competition of the 31st tank regiment, the Aosta lancers regiment (6 °), the 82nd infantry regiment and helicopters of the Army Aviation.
The heterogeneous Task Organization responds to the will of the commander of the "Acqui" division to train the highest number of assets (and commanders at all levels) with the Main Equipment in staff to the respective dependent units continuing to assure the usual contribution of forces for the operations on the national territory and abroad.
The exercise made it possible to optimize the available resources, achieving the twofold objective of ensuring that the 152 ° infantry regiment carries out the preparatory activities required for the package Land Reserve Forces (LRF) and, at the same time, to allow the departments that have converged their assets in competition to carry out maintenance activities peculiar to their specialty.
At the beginning of the exercise, on the date of yesterday, took place a Visitor Day in the "Monfenera" barracks in Cagliari, within which the "Acqui" division command illustrated to qualified representatives of the Army staff, of the COMFOTER-COE, of the Training and Doctrine Command, of the Specialty Schools of the Infantry and Cavalry, and numerous brigade Commands both of the "Acqui" division and of the "Friuli" division all the organizational activities and the rationale of the exercise.
It represents the capestone of a series of tactical activities of the Tattico Group, scheduled to take place every six months, involving the employees of the "Acqui" division from time to time available.
