In recent days the 15th course for Counter Mini/Micro Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operators, carried out at the center of excellence counter mini / micro remotely piloted aircraft (CdE CM/M APR) of Sabaudia (LT), which saw the participation of personnel from the Air Force, Navy, Carabinieri and State Police.
In the two-week course, characterized by a first remote phase and a second in-person phase, the students acquired the fundamentals of the threat posed by hostile drones.
The training on the ability to combat drones was also supported by the analysis of numerous case studies coming from open-source videos on ongoing conflicts and also by homeland security, in which the staff of the center of excellence have been called to operate since 2019.
The training activity of the course for CM/M APR operators concentrates its focus on learning basic doctrinal concepts including "elements of anti-aircraft defense" and "planning, reconnaissance and deployment of contrast systems", useful for providing the necessary knowledge , fundamental for the effective use of materials in operational scenarios and urban contexts.
Through fruitful experimentation, the center of excellence provides trainees with an up-to-date perspective on new technologies that are constantly evolving and always oriented towards achieving maximum integration between different systems.
