In recent days at the 235th, 85th and 17th volunteer training regiments, at the end of the training course, the oath ceremonies were held for the volunteers on initial duty (VFI) of the 3rd block 2023.
The very young soldiers took the oath in the presence of the War Flag of the respective Training Institutes that welcomed them two months ago. Women and men who followed a process of approaching the military world which was characterized by a regular training program which embraced all aspects of military discipline: the uniform, the rules of internal life in the barracks, the formal training, the knowledge of the weapons and means supplied to the Armed Forces.
The volunteers who passed the first weeks of training had the opportunity to carry out shooting with portable weapons and topographical orientation activities, creating a healthy esprit de corps and developing a new sense of belonging to the Institution and to the Italy to which they decided to swear loyalty and commit to protecting the Constitution and laws.
During the solemn swearing-in of the 85th "Verona" regiment, the commander for training, specialization and doctrine of the Army, General of the Army Carlo Lamanna, expressed satisfaction with what they had done and with their future commitment: “the act of swearing is the ceremony that a soldier will remember most of all for his whole life”.
In the next few days, volunteers will reach the Specialization schools to complete their training process and thus be able to reach the operational departments in every corner of Italy.
