A training cycle which saw the feathered infantrymen of the 8th Bersaglieri regiment conduct two different exercises concluded in recent days.
The first was carried out as part of the "Urban Operations" to improve the ability to enter and clear in inhabited centres, the acquisition of critical points, the liberation of active obstacles and the removal of barricades with the use of non-lethal ammunition of the "Simunition" system, which allowed the elevation of operational capabilities and very realistic training.
In the second exercise, fire activities were carried out with platoon and minor complex level heavy mortars, in a day and night environment, aimed at increasing operations in the scenario warfighting.
Both exercises confirmed the excellent level of preparation achieved by the Bersaglieri of the 8th Regiment, as well as the high degree of readiness and reaction capacity in any crisis scenario.
