The commander of the 173 ^ Airborne American Brigade of Vicenza visits the Thunderbolt

Welcomed by the commander of the "Folgore" brigade, Brigadier General Roberto Vannacci, Colonel Gregory Anderson, commander of the 173 ^ Airborne Brigade based in Vicenza, he spent a few hours with the paratroopers of the thunderbolt. Arrived at the brigade command thunderbolt the US unit commander handed over the "US Army Commendation Medal" to Colonel D'Ortenzi, former commander of the 8 parachutist sapper regiment, and to Lieutenant Colonel Fazio, former commander of the paratrooper sapper genius battalion.

After attending a meeting on interoperability between the two Paratrooper brigades, the delegation moved to the training and parachuting center of Pisa where he visited the aviation museum, the gymnasium of the training battalion, the folding and maintenance rooms of the aeronautical materials, as well as the Avio battalion el 'Studies and Experiences office.

At the end of the visit, Colonel Anderson complimented the work done by the thunderbolt in Italy and abroad, underlining how effective and fruitful collaboration between NATO's paratroopers can facilitate the achievement of a common goal.
