The 149th General Staff Course in training

It ended in the presence of the commander for the Training and Application School of Turin, gen. ca Stefano Mannino, theExercise for Command Posts (CPX/CAX) in favor of officers attending the 149th general staff course.​

The CPX/CAX took place at simulation and validation center of the Army (Ce.Si.Va.), commanded by Gen. d. Alberto Vezzoli, and in particular at the Constructive Center, carried out as part of the works of Integrated Systems Program for Land Training, which constitutes the main reference for the application of simulation to training and today represents one of the most versatile and effective tools the Army has at its disposal to prepare units to face the complexity of modern operational scenarios.​

All NATO software applications are used in the Center, as well as new and advanced ones Command and Control System called “Imperio”, also interoperable in a multi-domain context.​
The officers, for the occasion, supported by the Staff of the Application School of the Ce.Si.Va. and from that of the "Pinerolo" brigade, present with its commander, Gen. b. Paolo Sandri, were subjected to verification of their ability to plan and produce orders, monitor the situation, update the "Common Operational Picture", manage information and emergencies.​

A representative of the "United Nations System Staff College" of Turin also participated in the exercise, for the coordination of humanitarian assistance activities and interaction with the military component, as well as representatives of the Italian Red Cross which, pursuant to an agreement recently signed with the FA, have provided a qualified contribution in the field of humanitarian law. The exercise will be repeated, in the first days of next month, also for the 150th general staff course.​
