With the closure of the tactical-continuous exercise, the 2 ° "advanced" module of the one-year (VFP1) Volunteer Training course for the 4 block 2018, started last 4 in March, was concluded. The visitors, after the initial introductory activities, faced the first phase of the course, alternating classroom lessons with tight practical training, aimed at achieving the set educational and training objectives, first of which was an intense formal education activity and physical preparation, consistent with military status.
In particular, the 1st module of the training course saw the companies of the training battalion engaged in multiple black and white activities both in the Ascoli Piceno area, at the Infantry School in Cesano di Roma and at the military ranges of “Le Marane” (AQ) and Foce Reno (RA). The 2nd module of the training course saw the young soldiers engaged in a complex program of practical activities that had its apex in the conduct of the aforementioned continuous exercise, during which the Volunteers were able to apply all the knowledge learned during the theoretical lessons and practices, demonstrating that they have acquired the required skills and full awareness of their potential.
The activity, which took place from 6 to 10 in May 2019, involved the entire training battalion which, with the support of the regimental command and support company, projected alternately the three companies they reached, in the exercise area with the platoon level on foot, the "Colle San Giacomo" area at 1.105 meters, where the final tactical act of team assault, daytime, with the use of blank ammunition was conducted.
This activity represented the moment of greatest physical, mental and operational commitment for the Volunteers, who had to make maximum use of the skills acquired during the course to overcome training obstacles, especially during night-time activities. The operations, started in the barracks with the preparation of the individual equipment, the study of the mission and the first assessments in technical-professional matters, continued with the reaching of the areas designated for parking and the establishment of a quick bivouac, realized with shelters of couple, using only the material supplied to the individual fighter. The exercise ended with a tactical act, during which the commitment, the tenacity, the motivation and the spirit of self-denial demonstrated by the course goers in facing the difficulties encountered emerged.
On 23 May, at the end of the last evaluation tests, the VFP1s of the 4th block 2018 that will be found suitable will leave the “E. CLEMENTI ", headquarters of the 235th" PICENO "Volunteer Training Regiment, to reach the first assignment departments located throughout the country, aware of having achieved excellent training as a" base fighter ", which will allow him to continue the training in the various specialties of the Armed Force.
