The "battlefield tour" of the 17rd mountain artillery regiment took place between 21 and 3 September on the symbolic places of the "Great War". The route, which unfolded from the sources of the Piave to Timau, involved a series of technical-tactical mountaineering activities aimed at consolidating the typical skills of the specialty and, at the same time, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the conclusion of the conflict.
The itinerary retraced the high streets of the war scenario with historical narratives by experts in military history. The staff of the 3 regiment has therefore conducted a training at high altitude (Monti Peralba, Avanza, Coglians), due to the dual and unique skills of employment of the alpine units and, at the same time, honored all the fallen who fought in those places impervious, recalling, historically, military actions and, humanly, courage and patriotism.
