The Operations Department of the Infrastructural Engineers of the Army has today returned nine refurbished and furnished service quarters that will be assigned to the personnel of the Command and Tactical Support Department of the Alpine Brigade Taurinense stationed at the barracks Montgenevre of the logistic-training base of Bousson and the alpine of the 34 ^ company of the 3 ° alpine regiment stationed in Ulzio, at the Barracks Assietta.

The works had been decided following the visit to the Cesana Torinese infrastructure carried out by the Army Chief of Staff, General Salvatore Farina, during the last Ski Championships of the Alpine Troops (CASTA) in Sestriere, in the as part of the checks on the state of the barracks and staff accommodation conducted throughout the territory.

The building, owned by the military state property and partially deteriorated, has been redeveloped and made available for use through a series of maintenance interventions coordinated by the Operations Department of the Infrastructural Engineering in close synergy with the Alpine brigade Taurinense, in order to be able to offer new housing opportunities to the staff in service in the Val di Susa.

The area, called "Alloghi montani di Cesana", consists of six double and three single rooms, and will give hospitality to fifteen soldiers. The accommodations are equipped with kitchen, bathrooms and television. Initiated and concluded within a month, the works have made it possible to make available again a structure that will contribute to improving the well-being of the personnel employed in the area.

"It is a matter of pride and satisfaction to deliver these accommodations to our Graduati who, every day, train and operate in our valleys, keeping alive the link with the mountain and with all those who live there."- said General Biagini, commander of the alpine brigade Taurinense and representative for the Army in his short speech during the return - "Whenever the Army manages to meet the needs of its personnel, it is reinforced and reiterated that spirit of body that animates all the military, especially the Alpine".

The project in fact brought to term - together with housing built prior to Oulx and Rome - part of a series of initiatives that the Army as a whole, has recently started to improve the quality of life of its staff, increasing in this case the accommodation capacity in the vicinity of military installations, giving a tangible sign of attention and respect towards those who work daily in operational contexts and instructional intensive, thus contributing to the development of the area. The increase in the housing offer confirms the centrality that the Army attributes to its staff and to the well-being of their families.
