The "Venier 2018" exercise, which saw a minor complex of the "Serenissima" lagoon regiment, supplemented by a platoon of heavy busways from the "Genova Cavalleria" regiment, ended with the final test at the Cellina Meduna polygon ( 4th), by units of the 3rd sapper engineers regiment and by the horse artillery regiment, engaged in intense multi-weapon fire activity.

The exercise was developed through the deployment of the units of the "Pozzuolo" brigade on several training days in a high-intensity operating scenario, with the aim of refining the technical tactical procedures peculiar to each unit present in a context of boosting integration.

During the training activity conducted in full compliance with environmental regulations, in addition to the lagoon infantry complex, the blinds were used Centaur, artillery fire observation nuclei and genius teams, which, working in prolonged dynamic actions, have shown a remarkable capacity for cooperation thanks to the common training developed in the National Projection Screening Capacity.

The firing of the Brigade units highlighted a double aspect, on the one hand the high degree of preparation and versatility of its "amphibious" soldiers, trained and equipped to respond to multiform threats and risks and able to adapt the they are made to the changing conditions of employment typical of a high intensity conflict and, on the other, its organizational flexibility deriving from the amphibious connotation, which allows the lagoon units to adapt procedures and organizational structures to the different scenarios, guaranteeing, in all conditions, the information superiority, the ability to command and control and, ultimately, the timeliness and adequacy of the response.

During the exercise, Brigadier General Giovanni Parmiggiani, commander of the "Pozzuolo del Friuli" underlined the importance of joint training in order to maintain a high level of technical - professional preparation particularly required for a Great Unity pluriarma as the cavalry brigade, the main supplier of the Army set-ups for the National Capacity for Protection from the Sea.
