Yesterday morning, at the "Ettore Rosso" barracks inside the military city of Cecchignola, the rotation ceremony of the commander of the Engineers command took place between the general of division Gianpaolo Mirra and the brigadier general Giuseppe Bossa.
The ceremony, presided over by the commander of the Support Terrestrial Operating Forces, Army Corps General Massimo Scala, saw the deployment of the War Flag of the Engineer Corps and the departments of the Engineer Brigade, as well as the participation of numerous local authorities and representatives of the Combatant and Army Associations.
During his speech, Gen. d. Mirra retraced the main stages of her more than three years of command during which the Engineering command underwent a profound transformation. From the acquisition of all the Armed Forces bodies operating in the infrastructure sector, to the considerable increase in the training capabilities of the dependent bodies which annually provide courses attended by more than three thousand soldiers from all the Armed Forces and state armed forces. The transferring commander then underlined how the Corps of Engineers must continue in the process of adapting and strengthening its operational capabilities, to cope with the increasingly frequent requests for intervention in emergency situations and above all to face the increasingly demanding challenges of the future .
The general ca Scala, in his greeting address, wanted to express his personal gratitude for the constant collaboration and precious support provided by Gen. d. Mirra, which allowed the Engineering command to achieve all the institutional objectives assigned, confirming and improving the already high standards that have always characterized it.
Then turning to Gen. b. Bossa, the commander of the Support FOTER, underlined how the new assignment at the helm of the Engineering command represents a new challenge that he will have to take up in the best possible way, sending him our best wishes for good work and ever greater successes and satisfactions.
The general b. Bossa is the 6th commander of the Engineers command.
