Change of the Commander to the "Friuli" aircraft brigade

At the Mameli Barracks in Bologna, the alternation ceremony took place in the command of the "Friuli" aircraft brigade, between Brigadier General Salvatore Annigliato, transferor, and Brigadier General Stefano Lagorio, taking over, in the presence of the division commander Vittorio Veneto, general of division Carlo Lamanna, of the banners and banners of the Combat and Weapon Associations and of the highest civil and military authorities of Bologna.

General Lamanna, in his speech of greeting, congratulated the general Annigliato for the excellent work done and pointed out that the Aeromobile brigade is now a valuable resource both for the very high technology of the weapon systems supplied, and for the professionalism of its staff.

The general Annigliato leaves the command of the prestigious unit of the Italian Army after more than two years that have seen the "Friuli" brigade involved in numerous operational commitments both abroad and on the national territory. The brigade, under his leadership, was involved in the mission Resolute Support in Afghanistan, in the "Safe Roads" operation in competition with the Police Forces, in the interventions for public disasters in the Province of Bologna and in the series of exercises aimed at certifying the achievement by the dependent departments of their Full Operational Capability in the conduct of business of Personnel Recovery, Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) e RAID aircraft as a premise for their use, such as the Aircraft Task Group, in the Afghan and Iraqi Operating Theaters.

During the farewell address, General Annigliato expressed his profound gratitude to the men and women of "Friuli" for their daily commitment and for the extraordinary professionalism demonstrated during his period of command while at the same time expressing his pride for having led a among the most prestigious and peculiar maneuver brigades of the Italian Army.

The general Annigliato, who will go on to hold a prestigious position in the Army General Staff, finally wished his successor a good job.
