170th anniversary of the Military Pharmaceutical Establishment of Florence

In the morning, the Undersecretary of State for Defense Matteo Perego di Cremnago spoke in Florence at the ceremony for the XNUMXth anniversary of the Military Pharmaceutical Plant.

In the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and many civil and military authorities, Undersecretary Perego recalled the establishment of the plant on 26 June 1853 and its fundamental characteristics "An area of ​​55000 square meters of which 26000 covered are the current Military Pharmaceutical Chemical Plant (SCFM) name it received in 1976, an inter-force reality, which since 2001 has been employed by the Defense Industries Agency (AID), an entity under the supervision of Mr. Minister of Defence”.

“The factory is a tangible example of complementarity” Perego also stated in his speech "expressible by our Armed Forces which with their health system in synergy with the national one provide a service to the country"

“From the production and procurement of essential drugs to that of essential materials for health and safety, passing through the production of cannabis mother plants for medical use” the undersecretary then concluded “without forgetting, not even for a second, the enormous effort made by the SCFM during the pandemic with the conservation and distribution of about 2 million doses of vaccines and the incredible production of sanitizer and hydroxychloroquine, 170 years are very few.

A healthy and effective reality like this, as it is now, saves human lives, supports national health and allows all our men and women, with stars and not, to face everyday life with greater guarantees.
