The underwater operators of the minehunter component belong to the category of Divers, with their activities they make the underwater component a precious and particularly useful asset to the community, especially for the safety and protection of our maritime territory.

The special training allows you to operate in a difficult and complex environment such as the underwater one. In particular, the activities carried out concern the demining of war remnants, the rescue of submarines, the survey of bottom samples, underwater recoveries and inspection of wrecks. Furthermore, operators are employed to examine underwater archaeological sites in close cooperation with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

The dive operator team is the backbone of the minehunter component; to carry out its operations it uses modern search sensors, wire-guided vehicles capable of placing an explosive device suitable for destroying it near the mine and highly technological instruments.
