On 31 October 2019, at the Helicopter Hangar of the Helicopter Station of the Italian Navy in Catania, the ceremony for the delivery of the patents to the specialist mechanical and electronic helicopter technicians and flight operators took place, attended by the commander of the Navy Air Forces Military, Rear Admiral Placido Torresi and the commander of the Helicopter Station of Catania, Captain Riccardo Buralli.
The ceremony was attended by the relatives and friends of the trainees, the representatives of the city institutions, the other Armed Forces, some sections of veterans, a section of officers of the Qatar Air Forces, in training at the training center of the Catania Helicopter Station , as well as a section of students of the Polytechnic of the Sea "Duca degli Abruzzi" and of the Technical Aeronautical Institute "Arturo Ferrarin" of Catania.
The Air Forces of the Navy and the Port Authority, by virtue of their particular professional level, work in close synergy with other bodies and state bodies both at national and local level, training institutes and private industry. The delivery of patents traditionally represents an opportunity to establish this bond, offering the patronage of the ceremony to illustrious personalities who take on the role of "Guide" for the newly patented.
The courses 70 ° SH90 and EH101 flight operators, 29 ° CCPP flight operators, 31 ° EH101 avionics, 98 ° EH-101 engine technicians, were proudly accompanied during the ceremony by the Sicily Maritime Commander, Rear Admiral Andrea Cottini.
