The Communication of the Navy? Other than COOL, BIS-COOL!

12/02/15

Yesterday there was yet another encouraging example of what national policy is about: discouraging merit. One deputy fiercely attacked the Communication of the Navy for the use of terms such as "BE COOL AND JOIN THE NAVY" to publicize the campaign of recruitment.

Beyond the immediate figure of a beard, who wanted to make the italicissimo "fig", began by attacking the Minister of defense Pinotti with a few words in English - and making a huge mistake in the pronunciation of one! (but we are Italians, who can throw the first stone?) - What since the controversy that arose at the start of the campaign has not been understood is that the Communication is nourished by such discussions.

As Oscar Wilde, a famous Anglophone writer (oops!) Taught: "It doesn't matter if you talk about it well or badly, the important thing is that you talk about it."

Can you imagine if even this year to seduce was an "Enter the Navy, you will turn the world"?

The results of the campaign were, in times of review of public spending (spending review for those who do not understand), excellent: applications to participate in the competition to enter the Academy have grown by 20%.

Personally I fully support the defense of our language but - as a communicator - I must admit that if an office of our armed force, with less resources available, can get a much better result than in the past, I believe that the measure to be taken should be the promotion of the manager and not - as has been requested ... - his removal.
