My child, it's been a long time since I wanted to write to you, tell you a little about me, about us, about these two parents who are looking for you and waiting for you with so much love. You will see our works are very different but both challenging, even if they fill our lives with emotions.
Perhaps it will not be easy to combine our new life with you and work, many parents tell us that their newborn children take them away from sleep, rest but also that a single smile can give them much more. You will give us the love and strength necessary to live this new adventure with you and we will always be grateful to life for giving us the most precious gift that can exist in the world, a son.
I am a soldier of the Italian Army. It is a pride for me to serve our homeland, in my small way I do it every day, I wake up very early, with the desire and commitment to do my best, to ensure that that gear that makes every single mechanism turn is perfect, indispensable in order to make the Army machine functioning and efficient as it has always been.
Difficulties are never lacking, every single day is a challenge, facing it and overcoming it is important for me and a reason for personal pride.
In these years of service I have met many people, colleagues, different in age, culture or life experiences, with some a harmony was born, with others a friendship, with others still unfortunately the different approach to life and the mental closure do not me they gave the opportunity to share my private life with joy and to make myself known for who I am.
Fortunately, many things in this Army are changing, such as an article protecting discrimination in our code of military discipline, a minimum IQ level of 70 in recruitment tests. We are approaching a more open, smart mentality that looks to substance and not to appearance.
Looking at life with superficiality, my love, without paying attention to people for what they give or are, is not only a reality of the Army but let's say that some soldiers still have a lot of resistance to everything they do not know.
They are not all like that, my child, neither in the Army nor in the world in general, there are many people who love regardless of everything, many people who go beyond the prejudices of society.
We are eagerly waiting for you to introduce yourself to all the people around us who love us, but also to the world with its defects and reservations, with the awareness that only love can change things.
