Under the guidance of Colonel Massimo Bendazzoli, commander of the 10 ° regiment of genius guards, all of the soldiers engaged, twenty-four hours a day, work together with the police to prevent and combat environmental crimes.
During the last few weeks, the tenth engineers, reinforced by the 4 Carri regiment for the "Land of Fires", have recorded important results, identifying more than twenty abusive spill sites, mostly special waste deriving from waste industrial and with a high presence of eternit, concentrated in the suburbs, in particular in the countryside of the agro-aversano. These sites have all been surveyed on the "Prometheus", a portal on the internet platform managed by the prefecture of Naples and accessible to citizens also to verify the activities carried out to face the emergency.
Thirty burnings were also reported between the provinces of Naples and Caserta, part of which provided for immediate intervention by the soldiers to avoid the involvement of homes, cars, land and roads before the arrival of the fire brigade. Castel Volturno (CE), the army soldiers also surprised and handed over to the police a citizen of Senegalese nationality intent on abandoning a considerable quantity of solid waste.
