The final exercise of Terrestrial Tactical Reconnaissance in favor of the officers attending the 199th “Osare” technical application course, during the specialization training in the RSTA (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) procedures.
As part of the training cycle called Cavalry exercise (CAVEX), the Cavalry School carried out an articulated exercise, in which the exploration units of line cavalry carried out the terrestrial tactical reconnaissance procedures with the help of the canine units of the military veterinary center of Grosseto and with the support of the anti-drug dog units of the Lecce provincial command of the Guardia di Finanza and of the diving team of the Civil Protection of Lecce.
In particular, in a CROs (Crisis Response Operations) scenario, the attendants of the 199th course, together with those of the Blindo explorers in the "Light" configuration, they put into practice what they had acquired on a theoretical level, carrying out activities of reconnaissance and control of itineraries and areas of inflow or facilitation to an inhabited center, the latter represented by the "Urban Training Area" in the Torre polygon Venus.
The exercise represented an important training moment for the military attending specialization courses and for the “observer” personnel, intervened from the various cavalry departments, who were able to interact actively in all phases of the training activity.
