Avalanches in South Tyrol, intervenes in the Army helicopter rescue

Today in Val Senales, probably due to the high temperatures, two large avalanches have broken off, following which the 118 of Bolzano has requested the competition of an AB-205 helicopter of the 4 ° Altair Army Aviation Regiment .

The regiment, which always has an 24 helicopter in service hours on 24 to deal with these situations, in coordination with the government commission, immediately activated the crew that quickly took off and headed towards the avalanche area , near short farm at over 3200 meters of altitude.

Arriving at the site, the helicopter carried 3 teams of rescuers and a search dog, the operations lasted about an hour and an injured person was extracted from the avalanche.

The 4 ° "Altair" regiment is composed of flight crews specifically trained to operate in the mountains at high altitudes.
