Following the two strong earthquakes that occurred yesterday between Marche and Umbria, the Defense, responding promptly to the requests of the Civil Protection, has increased the presence of military personnel already operating in the areas hit by the 24 earthquake in August.
To constantly monitor the emergency in the areas affected by the new earthquakes, the Army has made available some drones with night vision. Furthermore, it is also transferring to the Umbria earthmoving machinery departments of the genius departments, which will be based in Spoleto, while some helicopters have been redeployed at the Rieti airport. The Air Force, on the other hand, is ready with its own helicopters from Cervia and Gioia del Colle for the recovery and emergency transport of any injured persons. Finally, all the Army operating rooms were alerted to make immediately available men, vehicles and materials, in case of further requests from the Civil Protection.
