It closes with a loot of a silver medal, two bronze medals, many Italian records and several excellent placings in the various finals, the rainbow experience of the seven Azzurri of the Army Sports Center present at the 12th edition of the world championships in short tank, held at the Hamad Aquatic Center in Doha, Qatar.

"A unique, wonderful and rewarding experience of the countless efforts made in 2014, thanks above all to the new technical approach planned by my coach Mirko Nozzolillo, shared with the sports management of the Army Olympic Sports Center." These are the words of the first corporal Erika Ferraioli in the aftermath of the long swimming event.

And how to blame her: the experience of the twenty-eight-year-old Roman swimmer, has brilliantly ended between medals and records on the distance of 50 and 100 freestyle, both individual level and in relay.

The first sign of an excellent state of form was shown with the mixed mixed 4x50, when, as the last fractionist, he drags the blue team, also composed by the dorsista, the major caporal Niccolò Bonacchi and the ranista, the first major caporal Fabio Scozzoli, on the third step of the podium with the new Italian record of 1'37 "90, recording a fabulous chrono" launched "23" 55 (not approved), time that was only the premise to a series of subsequent improvements matured before, with the fifth place of the 4x50 mixed women relay, closed with the Italian record of 1'46 "47 and the partial 23" 43, then with the fourth of 4x50 mixed freestyle, completed with another Italian record of 1 '29 "22 and an excellent 23" 25.

But as said, the vertiginous progression in the primates of Erika Ferraioli has certainly not been expected in the contests that count, namely in the individual 50 and 100 style, and in those from the first fractionist in the 4x100 freestyle relay.

On the occasion of the semifinals and final stages of the 50 individual test, the Italian team puts three Italian records in a row, masterfully stopping the order, the chronometer hands on the 24 times "12, 24" 10, and finally 24 "09 .

Equally exciting were the double distance performances; with the chrono of 52 "87 in the drums and in the semi-final of the individual race has equaled the Italian record, then, in the end of the 4x100 female style relay, has lowered by 17 cents (52" 70), bringing the blue to the conquest of a another marvelous bronze medal with the umpteenth Italian record (3'29 "48).

But the five days of Doha saw other athletes of the Army Sports Center contribute to the success of the entire Italian expedition, closed with a medal of gold, masterfully conquered by Giorgio Paltrinieri in the 1500 freestyle, two silvers, one with the 4x200 relay freestyle (RI 6'51 "80), which included, together with Andrea Mitchell D'Arrigo, Marco Belotti, Filippo Magnini, also the 18 year-old caporale Nicolangelo Di Fabio, author of a splendid third fraction in 1'42" 98, and Marco Orsi, second in the 50 style completed with the Italian record of 20 "69, and the three bronzes, of which, as mentioned, two won by Erika Ferraioli with colleagues Niccolò Bonacchi and Fabio Scozzoli in the mixed mixed 4XXXUMX relay girls of the 50x4 freestyle, and one with the 100x4 male style (50'1 "24), composed by Luca Dotto, Marco Orsi, Filippo Magnini and Marco Belotti.

In addition to Nicolangelo Di Fabio, we remember the young Corporal Simone Sabbioni, 1996 class, first fractionist (back) in the elimination rounds of mixed mixed 4XXXUMXX, the same that then came 50 ^ with the grafting of his colleague Niccolò Bonacchi, the latter athlete , able to achieve also the Italian record of 3 back in 50 "23, in the context of the mixed 39x4 relay, then 50 ^ in 6'1" 32, and the personal record in the fraction of the 68 back (100 "51) of the relay Mixed 56x4.

The specialists of the back were also highlighted by Corporal Gabriele Detti in the 1500 race, finished in fifth place with the new personal record of 14'29 "94, and an almost recovered Fabio Scozzoli, also fifth in the final 50 frog, completed with the time of 26 "15, still very far from its European record of 25" 72, which for the occasion remained firmly in his hands, despite the insidious performance of the British Adam Peaty in the semifinals, completed only three cents from the primacy of blue.

Worthy of mention finally, the unfortunate participation of the major corporal Scelto Federico Turrini, the victim of an intestinal flu that did not allow him to take part in the race of 200 and 400 mixed, try the latter within his reach, especially in light of bronze European Union conquered last December in Herning, Denmark.
