It took place at the Army simulation and validation center (Ce.Si.Va.) the exercise for command posts in favor of the 62nd "Sicilia" infantry regiment which will allow the use of the "Aosta" brigade unit abroad.
In the "ORIONE 1/2024" exercise, the unit was evaluated on its ability to plan, conduct, update common operational picture (COP) and information management.
With this exercise, the new center was inaugurated before 2024 constructive of the Ce.Si.Va., a structure created to provide the Armed Forces with a unique instrument. In fact, all the technological applications of the NATO networks are used in the center, as well as the new and advanced command and control system of the Army called "IMPERIO".
The Ce.Si.Va. constitutes the reference point of the Armed Forces for the preparation of command posts, staff and units intended for use outside the national territory or for NATO. The center's activity is mainly focused on planning and conducting exercises for operational units to achieve the capabilities necessary to carry out the assigned missions.
