The "hero of the battle" awarding ceremony stems from the very high operating standard maintained by the non-commissioned officer in all the phases of the exercise and in particular for the events of 3 May 2017 when his crew destroyed, through the system of simulation miles, 8 BMP2 and 4 T80 and at the command of the platoon managed the maneuver by prohibiting the advance of the OPFOR deployed with forces at the company level.
