Plaque in memory of four fellow citizens fallen in Iraq

The 30 May 2005 falls to 13 miles south-east of Nassiriya in Iraq an Italian helicopter. The four soldiers on board die. It is an Army AB-412, based in Tallil.

The victims are the two pilots, Lieutenant Colonel Giuseppe Lima, 39 years of Rome and Captain Marco Briganti, 33 years of Forlì, and Flight Technicians and On-board Gunners, Chief Marshal Massimiliano Biondini, 33 years of Bagnoregio (Viterbo) and the ordinary marshal Marco Cirillo, 29 years of Viterbo. Last Saturday, in the presence of the undersecretary for defense, Hon. Domenico Rossi, of the commander of AVES gen. b. Antonio Bettelli, of the mayor of Bagnoregio, dr. Francesco Bigiotti was discovered a memorial plaque at the War Memorial in Piazza Salvo d'Acquisto in Castel Cellesi, in memory of the sea. ca. Massimiliano Biondini.

Numerous civil and military participation, in particular the ANAE (National Army Aviation Association, ed), section Muscarà, with its own Banner.

During the ceremony Mrs. Roberta Palmucci, mother of the late Massimiliano, was named an honorary member of the ANAE directly by the president Luigi Orsini.
