"Safe roads": pickpocketing thwarted in Naples

Three Alpine soldiers of the 9th Regiment, engaged in the "Safe Roads" operation within the "Campania" Group, during the dynamic surveillance service in Piazza Garibaldi in Naples, noted an individual of foreign origin, who taking advantage of the typical overcrowding of the area, he tried deftly to rob the contents of a passerby's bag.

The military intervened promptly, succeeding in blocking the evildoer and handing it over to the Public Security Authority which had been alerted in the meantime.
