Near Via Palestro, in the center of Rome, a brawl was quelled by a non-commissioned officer of the Italian Army who was employed in the "Safe Roads" Operation.

During an inspection activity, the non-commissioned officer of the "Lazio-Umbria-Abruzzo" group noted two men of foreign nationality who were struggling with each other. Immediately descending from the military vehicle, he separated the two men by carrying out the detention of one of the two, while the other fled. The carabinieri operations room was promptly notified and a steering wheel was requested, which, having arrived at the site, took delivery of the man and took him to the police station for identification. The "Safe Roads" Operation employs more than 4000 men and women from the Italian Army in major Italian cities, in support of the Police Forces in ensuring the safety of sensitive sites and areas at risk, confirming the great versatility of the Armed Forces national and international operations on the territory.
